Random bits ‘n’ bobs

I apologise for the lack of posts of late but I’ve had to wrestle a few little gremlins that have tried to spoil my normally happy existence! To alleviate some of the guilt that I’m feeling towards my readership (all three of you) I offer you a random post with – as per title – [...]

Cool animation of the day

An impressive Flash 8 animation. Those stickmen get everywhere… click me!

Click, click, snap

A friend of mine has been kind enough to let me borrow his digital camera for a week or two so I’m hoping to get out and take a few pictures with it. I might then finally buy a decent camera of my own. Well, it will soon be my birthday…
(Images removed – sorry!)

The JAE Event, the freak storm, the weekend

Well that sure was an interesting and fun-filled weekend! It all started early on Saturday morning, approximately 5:30a.m…
After months of preparation the weekend of the Japanese Auto Extravaganza was upon us. It was the moment that my fellow TRO administration team and moderating team had been waiting for; a time to see the [...]

Just too funny…

I know this is doing the rounds at the moment (and most people will have seen it) but it’s just so funny it hurts!
The Vader Sessions
I did try to embed into this page but it messed everything up big-stylee so I’ll just provide a link until I can fix things!

In my own little world

Earlier in the week (whilst in work) I decided it would be a great idea to actually leave the confines of my desk and to venture out and enjoy the glorious weather we are currently experiencing. If nothing else it would allow me to catch a little sun radiation as opposed to that produced by [...]

Well done, sis!

Congratulations!
I’d just like to take a moment to send my best wishes and many congratulations to my wonderful sister, Nicola. Having qualified for the National Trampolining Finals earlier in the year she found herself competing against the nation’s finest last weekend (at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham, England). The Finals were split over the weekend [...]

…and still they live!

As mentioned numerous times already, at various times in my blog, I’m not really much of a gardener. However, these last few months I’ve really been making an effort to keep both of my gardens tidy and to try and get something to grow in them (flowers as opposed to weeds). It was my dear [...]

Chargrilled bed linen

I am a very fortunate guy in many respects. I have good health, I like mashed spuds, have a nice house, a nice garden and terrific neighbours. And it is my neighbours that I wish to briefly talk about.
The neighhbours in question are a young couple, and they have two young children (one boy and [...]

More wallpaper designs

The creative juices have been flowing again and a friend of mine asked me to knock up some desktop wallpaper designs for his website. I’ve not done many yet (time is a little scarce right now) but here are three I’ve done. Each design ‘fed’ the following design until the 3rd one was reached (which [...]

A perfect lover? Is it all a myth?

A topic came up for discussion a day or two ago on one of the forums I frequent regularly, a topic which I finally got around to replying to early this morning. First, a little background information…
A guy has been dumped by his girlfriend after 4 happy years together and he is, understandably, quite distraught. [...]

I declare the day a “non-event”

Yesterday was a very strange day. Have you ever had one of those? A strange day?
It all started innocently enough. The sun shone brightly through the window as I opened my bedroom curtains and blinds, having been roused from my peaceful slumber by the genteel tones of my alarm clock. The neighbours opposite caught glimpse [...]

It’s a hot one tonight

It’s so humid I cannot sleep tonight… so I thought I’d take the opportunity to repair the gallery section of my website. With a little bit of luck it should be back online again, although the colour scheme has changed as I messed the other one up. Whoopsies. You can view my online gallery here [...]

SharkyUK has moved

Ok, the server migration has taken place and SharkyUK.com is back up and running. Thanks again to Topper and parm.
There are a few things I still need to fix (such as the Gallery) but these will be back in due time.

ADH in Portsmouth

The weekend just gone was ‘a good one’ by all accounts. After much preparation and negotiation the Alan Day Honda (Portsmouth) Type-R Owners meet was on! It was certainly a long way to travel but it would turn out to be very much worth it.
It all started on the Friday night when my good friend [...]
